DO I NEED TO BE A MEMBER BEFORE I CAN MAKE A CLAIM FOR MY PARKING FINE?

Yes! Once you sign up to become a member you will be eligible to make a claim for any parking fine that you receive. Please visit the member’s page on this website for full details. We also offer a one-off Appeals only service if you would prefer not to become a member.  Please note that We Pay Your PCN do not pay for historic PCN's received.

 

DO YOU OFFER A POLICY LIKE MY CAR INSURER?

No.  We offer a membership service. Unlike an insurance policy, this is not underwritten by any third parties and there is no legal obligation for you to own one.

 

WHAT IF I BECOME A MEMBER AND THEN DO NOT GET A TICKET

DURING MY MEMBERSHIP PERIOD?

If you are lucky enough NOT to have received a ticket before your membership expires then you can either choose to not renew your membership or continue your membership.

. If you choose to continue your membership then your membership fees for the following year in question will be waivered.

 

WILL YOU PAY MY HISTORIC PCN, RECEIVED BEFORE I BECAME A MEMBER

We pay your PCN will only pay PCN's received after the date that your membership commences. However, we will manage the appeals process for your historic PCN.

WILL YOU HELP ME IF I HAVE ALREADY APPEALED A PCN

For PCN's that have already had a rejected appeal, we will support you if you are wanting to take the case to the tribunal. Please be aware that if your PCN is rejected at this stage you may be liable to incur the original cost of the PCN with no discounted rate offered. This amount would have to be paid by you directly to whoever issued the ticket.

IS THERE A DISCOUNT ON OFFER DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID19 PANDEMIC?

CAN I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AT ANY TIME

Yes. We understand that circumstances change and occasionally you may need to freeze or cancel your membership. That’s absolutely fine if you cancel within 14 days of signing up any money received will be refunded back to you.

 

If you choose to cancel at a later date that the 14 days grace period you will only be refunded for your membership package costs. All membership fees, however, are non-refundable.

ARE PENALTY CHARGE NOTICES ENFORCEABLE

Yes. If you have received a PCN please do not ignore it. Get in touch with us today and our helpful appeals officer will advise if you have a strong enough reason to appeal your PCN. 

 

ARE PENALTY CHARGE NOTICES LEGAL

Yes. A PCN is a penalty for contravention of parking regulations. It can be paid, contested by appeal, or contested by defending a claim for payment under the small claims track of the county court. 

 

IS A PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE A CRIMINAL CONVICTION 

No. You won't get a criminal record or points on your licence.

 

DO PENALTY CHARGE NOTICES HAVE TO BE PAID 

If you do not pay a PCN within 28 days, you'll get a 'charge certificate' and you'll have 14 days to pay the original fine plus 50% more. You'll get a court order demanding payment if you do not pay a charge certificate within 14 days.

 

CAN A PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE BE ISSUED AFTER 28 DAYS 

By law the PCN must be issued within 28 days of when the traffic warden saw the parking rule was broken or it was caught on camera. Drivers can challenge the fine or have 28 days to pay: a discount of 50% is available for payment within 14 days (21 days if vehicle is caught on camera and the PCN is posted)

 

CANT FIND MY PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE

If you are unable to locate your PCN number, please call on 020 7974 4444 with the following information: your vehicle registration mark (number plate) location.

WHAT DOES PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE MEAN

Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) are issued to motorists found to be in contravention of parking restrictions, waiting restrictions and some moving traffic offences that are treated as civil, not criminal, offences.


 

HOW TO CHECK PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE

The PCN number can be found above the vehicle image in the top right hand corner of the PCN. Once located, visit the issuing council, Parking company or TFL website and input your vehicle's registration number and PCN number.
